Who's Who In The DC Universe #2: Bat-Mite Illustration (1984)

For a while, almost all of DC's main super-heroes had an annoying little imp or alien hanging around. Be it Mr. Mxyzptlk, Qwisp, Zook, Mopee, or in this case... Bat-Mite! The art for this 1984 entry was created on two boards and it is 100% all drawn artwork! The main figure of Bat-Mite is drawn on one board, and all of the background images with Batman, Bat-Mite and Robin are all drawn on another board. The second layer was printed in magenta using a color-hold technique. Both pieces are ink over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". An acetate image of Bat-Mite was placed onto the 2nd board with The background layer showing a great effect and what the main image looks like.
