Wacky Package Art, Donald Trump (Conald Chump..LOL) 'The Con Game' (1991)

WOW...Did someone have a crystal ball back in 1991? ......Check out this hilarious Pinup, which was deemed too over the top to be added to the 1991 WACKY PACKAGE card set produced that year. This great piece was drawn entirely by the renowned artist: Drew Friedman! This Pinup features a nice image of Donald Trump (called CONALD CHUMP) as he pulls his coat to the side showing someone some fake watches he is selling...LOL! The slogan at the top in the art reads: "IT'S NOT WHETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE, BUT WHETHER YOU BUY DIS' GAME!' And his name below his image reads "CONALD CHUMP". Art is drawn small, like all Wacky package original art, on 8.5 by 10.75 inch art paper, with an actual penciled, inked and hand colored image measuring 3 by 3.6 inches, and a quick penciled prelim is drawn right below the colored piece! Just a neat piece which fits very well these days with the Republican presidential Nominee! I'm sure someone from Britain or anywhere in Europe would "LOVE" to own this orignal! Drew Friedman is an award-winning illustrator whose work regularly appears in dozens of major publications. For years he was renowned for his "stippling" style of caricature, employing thousands of pen-marks to achieve photographic verisimilitude, but in recent years Friedman has switched to painting. His painstaking attention to detail and parodies of Hollywood icons is widely admired. Friedman's work has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, Newsweek, Time, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, The New Republic, The New York Observer, Esquire, RAW, Rolling Stone, and MAD Magazine. Friedman attended New York's School of Visual Arts from 1978 to 1981, studying under such legendary masters as Will Eisner, Harvey Kurtzman, Edward Sorel, Stan Mack, and Arnold Roth. He launched his career in the 1980s writing and illustrating morbid alternative comics, often collaborating with brother Josh Alan Friedman.
