Check out this really historic piece of Robert Crumb art as he writes to one of his idols: (Disney artist Ward Kimball from the renowned: 9 OLD MEN) and even includes Crumb's drawn underground version of Mickey Mouse at his drawing desk! This unusual item was sent as a thank you for Kimball sending Crumb a collection of Mickey Mouse newspaper strips. Letter and art was handwritten & drawn in marker by Robert Crumb on bond paper measuring 8.5" x 11", and dates to 1968 as Crumb mentions his new comic at the time, Snatch "America's first high-grade sex comic... should be a winner", and mentions how Zap Comix #2 is "selling like hot cakes... in fact it's selling better than hot cakes". Also included is an envelope from a 1980 correspondence with the 2 artists, listing Crumb's Winters, California address. The letter includes a Crumb rubber stamp image, & is postmarked. $5,000.00
