"ALWAYS BUYING AND TRADING FOR ANY AND ALL COMIC BOOK ART AND COMIC BOOK STRIP ART"
(330) 221-5665 or mikeburkey@aol.com
This nice daily was titled "A Job For Superman!" From the The story arc: "The Monocle Menace" ran from 8-10-42 until 11-21-42. Jack Burnley ghosted on the strip during this time period, so this may be by his hand with possibly Shuster also. The daily features Clark Kent (using his X-Ray vision) with Lois Lane, as they try to get away on a plane, being menaced by an autogiro (plane) with bad guys on it chasing them. Art is Rendered in ink and Zipatone over graphite on 22" x 6" Bristol board with an image area of 19.5" x 5". The last panel (which is all drawn art) is covered with glue residue from a missing paste-up that replaced the scene with one from a different angle. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out. $2,800.00
