Hi, Mike Sangiacomo vice-president and co-founder of the Siegel and Shuster Society here in Cleveland Ohio, a non-profit dedicated to preserving the legacy of Superman and the two Clevelanders that created him. Our project with sculptor David Deming to install a statue of Superman in downtown Cleveland is more than 70 percent funded. We raised about a million dollars but still need $660,000 more to finish, and you know what they say, the last half-million is the hardest. We need a little help. Mike Burkey (From Cleveland Ohio) has kindly allowed us to post a sale of original Superman art on his website. We have 6 pieces that were drawn by some of the industry greats specifically for us to sell to raise money for the Superman Siegel Shuster Pavilion at the Huntington Convention Center in downtown Cleveland. This is one of the 6 art pieces. This piece is drawn by Mike Gustovich on 11" x 17" art board and features a fully penciled and inked detailed cover recreation to the FAMOUS Superman Vs. Muhammad Ali Limited edition DC treasury cover. This art was hand water colored by Mike Gustovich also so it does have a waviness to the board because of the water color but it looks great! the logo area is a stat that Gustovich hand colored for a great effect. We are hoping to get at least $1200 for this piece, and again, 100% of your donation for this art goes towards the SUPERMAN statue and your donation is 100% TAX DEDCUCTIBLE! This art piece comes with a certificate of authenticity (which can be seen in the red link above) and you also get a lifetime membership card to the Siegel and Shuster Society! (pictured in extra red link above!) The main SUPERMAN statue is a nine-foot stainless steel sculpture of Superman in flight on an 18-foot pedestal. In addition, Deming created three life-sized bronze statues of Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster and Jerry’s wife, Joanne, gazing up at the creation. The pavilion will also include an oversized phone booth with a suspiciously carved pile of clothing and glasses. The pavilion was done with the approval and participation of DC, Warner Brothers and the Siegel family. Relatives of Jerry and Joe are officers of the society. The statues are done and we hope to install them this summer. They are gorgeous as you can see, and each is a one-of-a-kind, signed, tribute to the Man of Steel and the men who created him. We have put up suggested prices, but the highest offer will take them. Remember, since we are a 501c3 organization the cost is tax-deductible. Every penny goes to the statue fund! Check out the link to the society website for pics of the statues: https://www.supermanstatuecleveland.org/ $1,200.00
