Kelly Freas takes a backward glance as Eugene Delacroix' masterpiece "Liberty Leading the People". The "backside" of the painting shows her flying a "Save Fuel/Burn Bras" flag, with one of the young boys holding a gas pump handle... both references to the fuel crisis in the US at the time. Another timely inclusion are the reels of "missing tape" at her feet. This was just after the Watergate fiasco. The sepia tone image was created in mixed media on Bristol board measuring 8.75 by 11.5 inches. Signed in the lower left. In Very Good condition. Comes with a tearsheet of the previous page from the issue to see the classic front side to this artwork. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out. $1,500.00
