Gil Kane pencils/ Joe Giella inks (1963) This grrat page is From the introduction story of the villain called: "The Shark!" -- a predatory villain who would become a recurring threat to Green Lantern. Kane and Giella, one of the near-perfect teams of the 1950s-'60s super-hero revival period, establish well the Shark's nefarious plot "to turn [Coast City] into my private hunting preserve!" Carol Ferris, Pieface, & Terga are all pictured in peril! Looks as though author John Broome was copping a riff from Richard Connell's classic story of 1924, "The Most Dangerous Game." Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board. $6,000.00
