Check out this very nice Pinup, which was drawn by the iconic JERRY ROBINSON! This Pinup features 2 nice large images of Baqtman and Robin both swinging on their Bat-Lines! Art is drawn on 11 by 14 inch art board, and is signed at the bottom! Just a neat piece! Jerry Robinson, who as a young artist in 1940 contributed to the creation of both Robin and the Joker, illustrated this image of Batman and Robin in 1989. Robinson was a 17-year old collage student in 1939 when he met Bob Kane and became his assistant on Kane's new creation, Batman. Within a year, Robinson was the primary inker on Batman. When Kane and writer Bill Finger discussed the idea of adding a kid sidekick, a new idea at the time, Robinson came up with the name "Robin". Robinson also was the first to come up with the idea of the Joker, based on a playing car, although Bill Finger was the one who had the idea to make the Joker resemble the actor Conrad Veidt in the movie The Man Who Laughs. Robinson also contributed to the creation of Alfred and Two-Face. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
