This Large Art prime era Jack Kirby penciled and Chic Stone inked Thor page from Journey Into Mystery #112 page takes place during the events of Avengers #3, the story where the Hulk, having left the Avengers, teams-up with Namor the Sub-Mariner. This page features six equally-sized panels. In the first three panels we see Thor in pursuit of the Hulk. the Thunder God uses his powerful hammer to burst through some debris left behind by the green goliath but finds no trace of the monster himself. The fourth and fifth panels cut away to Asgard, where Thor's noble and powerful father Odin explains To The warriors 3 that Thor's time is up and from this moment forth he shall know greater humility. Earlier, Thor asked Odin to lift the enchantment that forces Thor to change to Donald Blake after being kept from his hammer for sixty seconds, so he can pit his strength against Hulk. Odin grants Thor's wish, giving him five minutes free of the enchantment. However, Thor's hammer is now vulnerable to damage, and can be picked up by anybody. In the final panel we cut back to Thor, who instead of finding the Hulk, comes across the Sub-Mariner, who is escaping from a battle with Thor's fellow Avenger, Iron Man, who appears to be the worse for wear!
