Check out this neat 1971 Jack Kirby penciled, and Vince Colletta, and Murphy Anderson inked Jimmy Olsen Page. When Jack Kirby left Marvel in 1970, it rocked every comic fan's world. DC ads soon touted "The Great One is Coming". Jack had great plans for DC, and he kicked off his epic "Fourth World" saga in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen. The "King" was bursting with wild concepts, and he revolutionized the title. He created the Intergang, brought in the new Newsboy Legion and the Guardian, and introduced the New Gods to the DC Universe. Here, Scrapper of the Newsboy Legion visits a small cloned version of himself, the "Scrapper Trooper" -- shades of "Mini-Me!" DC's editors had a conservative streak, and the art directors brought in Murphy Anderson to redraw and ink Jimmy Olsen's head. Panel 4 has a splendid Jimmy portrait by Anderson. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Blue pencil editorial marks and whiteout corrections, Signed by Anderson under Panel 4. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out. $3,000.00
