Roger Brand straddled the worlds of Underground and mainstream comics with style and grace, producing such subterranean gems as this SPLASH PAGE while settling in as an assistant to such masters as Wally Wood and Gil Kane. This January 1973 splash page was published in Gary Arlington's Nickel Library, feauring a gun fight where the girl gets shot right through her chest.
