The Spirit #6 Cover 2 Prelim Drawings (1984)

Check out these 2 very nice SPIRIT cover pencils, which were drawn entirely by the great Will EISNER in 1984! This nice piece features a shipwreck in the background as "THE SPIRIT" battles a vulture on a shoreline, while Julia and Mr. Carrion watch from behind! The 2nd cover prelim is mostly stat with the Vulture replaced with drawn tentacles from a giant octopus drawn in place of the vulture. The Spirit head and left arm are all drawn art on the 2nd prelim also. BOTH Covers are drawn on 8.5 by 11 inch art paper, as all cover prelims from this series were drawn this size. Just 2 great cover prelims by this iconic artist, drawing his GREATEST CREATION of the Golden Age! There is a #11 written in upper left of prelim, but this issue looks nothing like the issue #11 comic. Compare this nice cover art to the published comic book in the red link above!
