Jeffrey Jones Ink Homage Drawing (1970-1971)

Dave Stevens was a very special talent in our hobby..... best known for his signature creation, The Rocketeer, which first premiered in 1982. Stevens passed away way too soon at age 52 in 2008. He left behind a small but highly regarded body of work that is likely only going to be more appreciated over time as new generations discover the tremendous quality of his work. This piece was created early in Stevens career as an artist, circa 1970-1971. It's an illustration of a nude woman Stevens did as a homage to a similar piece by artist Jeff Jones. Art comes with a 2014 COA from an Art Gallery stating that Stevens drew this for the sister of the man who owned this. Art is drawn on 11 by 14 inch drawing paper and is signed at the bottom right.
