Space War #29 Cover Unpublished (STEVE DITKO COVER USED INSTEAD!)

Check out this 1976 Original art for an unpublished cover to Space War #29 by Rich Larson! There is a published comics code stamp on back reading August 3, 1976. The top margin has written "War #11" along with the Job# [D-8316 /Cover]. It appears that this cover and story were inventoried and when the story that the job# correlates to when it was eventually published in issue #29 of Space War in 1978. They went with a Steve Ditko cover to a different story in that issue but with the same hero character in the purple outfit. This cover, would have been the intended cover for the 10 page story titled, "THE UNDERGROUND WAR' -- a cool sci-fi war story that reimagines the World-War-time-line. The cover is rendered in mixed media on an 11" x 17" art board. Just a great cover! Compare this nice cover art to the published comic book in the red link above!
