Check out this very cool 1959 LARGE ART SPLASH page which was penciled and inked by the great George Evans, from the story titled: "The Illustrated Story Of The Army!" This nice SPLASH page features General Dwight D. Eisenhower and British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery planning the NORMANDY D-Day attack for May 1, 1944. They decide on this page to delay the attack for 1 month so they can produce more equipment and this was a VERY smart strategy, so D-Day ultimately happened on June 6, 1944! This splash is all artwork, the last panel has 2 stats the fell off as they used the mirror image of the 2 heads for the printed version, and I have those stats also that go with the splash, but the image you see is the all drawn last panel and entire splash is all drawn artwork below the "TARGET NORMANDY" Stat logo. Great HISTORIC 51 year old LARGE ART war splash here!
