This is the Neal Adams drawn Marvel Spotlight #2 Cover Preliminary Original Art to the origin and VERY FIRST appearance of this GREAT CHARACTER: Jack Russell, (Werewolf by Night) This landmark piece of magnificent Marvelmania includes the prleiminary cover art, the one of a kind original Color Guide to the cover, AND the Printer's Proof for Marvel Spotlight #2! Nefarious Neal Adams rendered his cover concept sketch in ink and grey tone wash and then Marvel art directors added their comments written in red marker. The sketch includes such remarks as "Remember, it's a kid who changes to wolf," and "really sock it to us in this shot." Also included in this piece is a color guide, done on a photostat of Neal Adams' cover art, and a gorgeous printer's proof of the final cover. All in all, these pieces give a remarkable insight into the creation of a Bronze Age bombshell. These three pieces have been matted alongside each other and framed to an overall size of 33" x 20", and the piece is in Excellent condition.
